Study tips I used during exams to graduate with 3.9/4.0 GPA

7 Study tips I used during exams to graduate Summa Cum Laude (3.9/4.0 GPA) as a non-target accounting student

1. Active recall > passive reading

- quiz yourself

- use flashcards

- feynman technique

2. Change your study environment (library, outside)

3. Low-effort study techniques

- watch a YT video

- listen to an audio summary

4. Prioritize exercise, getting outside in nature, and maintaining mental wellness

5. "I'll just study for 5 minutes" -> Hardest past is starting you will keep going for 1hr+

6. Parkinson's Law: Work expands for the time allotted - set deadlines and start in advance - quit delaying

7. Know why you are aiming for academic excellence -> high paying finance roles, future opportunities, etc

PS. Worried about high finance recruitment for summer 2026/full time?
